Samcheok Ocean Railway Bike with Oppa
In a span of a year, I’ve travelled to Korea at least 3 times, each time finding new things to love about and also falling in love with the country more each time. From the streets, to its food to the culture, what’s not to love about this country. I vividly remember my first time to Korea was when I was 10, but I did not know anything about it and only remembered experiencing my first snowfall. Fast forward 13 years later, I went again and experienced Korea a little different from what the norm would be. I stayed at my first campervan and had my first railway bike experience. Needless to say, a perfect combination of the norm with a hint of freshness bringing about the perfect vacation for family and friends.

Ganghwa Campervan Experience ( 강화경찰수련원 )

Located on the outskirts of Incheon at Ganghwa, this experience is a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each camper van comes with a well-equipped kitchen as well as a bathroom. Outside the camper van is a seating area with a barbecue pit which allows you and your family to enjoy a BBQ, Korean style. To make your nights a little more interesting, you can also purchase fire crackers and have a little fun with your family and friends. I think its definitely something worth trying and since its not very popular at the moment, you should definitely check it out before it becomes too popular as they have limited campervans vans.

Hanhwa Resort Seorak (한화리조트 설악)

Another unique accommodation which I highly recommend, is Hanhwa Spa Resort located near Sokcho City and Sorak Mountain. This place has a waterpark of its own, providing the perfect place for families and friends to bond. It consists of both outdoor and indoor portions, the indoor one being more suitable for the colder seasons. From Jacuzzis to water slides, this park has it all. Aside from this amazing water park, their rooms are very spacious and can accommodate up to 5 people. Waking up to mountainous views is just another plus point this place has to offer. The resort also has its own convenience store and a Starbucks for those caffeine addicts.

Myeongdong (명동)

When the sunsets, Korea becomes a whole other universe. Its nightlife, brimming with excitement and has lots to offer. Places such as Myeongdong and Hongdae are the epitome of excitement. Food, entertainment or shopping, you name it, both these places has it all. These are 2 of my favorite places to go to and I will never miss them out whenever I travel to Korea.
Myeongdong is perfect for first timers, an opportunity for them to experience Korean food culture and to bask in the liveliness it has. With food stalls lined across the different alleys, it has an array of delicacies for people of different pallets. Some of my favorite things to have are the twisted potato as well as the grilled cheese.

Talking about Instagram worthy things, hidden in a corner of Hongdae, is 943 Kings Cross Harry Potter café. With a beautiful exterior, and a whimsical interior, this café is every Potterhead’s dream and you should definitely check it out if you want to take some Instagram photos. There is a total of 4 levels and every corner of this place has its own magical touch to it. You should definitely check it out if you want a break from shopping and immerse yourself in a Hogwarts adventure.

Jean Frigo (장프리고)

Located near Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul, is Jeanfrigo. This seemingly ordinary looking fruit shop is actually a cafe by day and a bar by night. On the outside, this cafe has fruits on display with 3 fridges at the back, one of them being an entrance to the cafe. This place shouts impressive in all ways. With 3 stories, this café has amazing Italian food and drinks. Their tables are all labelled with different fruits and the way to order is even more unique. Bringing back a bit of nostalgia, this café uses a payphone for customers to call the front desk to place their order and they even provide coins for their customer to do so.

SM Town

To all the Kpop fanatics, this place will definitely fulfill your dreams. Home to some of the world’s most popular Kpop group such as EXO, NCT, SuperM and Red Velvet, SM entertainment has a culture complex space dedicated to documenting their artist’s journey. Good news is, this place doesn’t have any admission fee and is a haven for many Kpop fanatics. This place also houses one of Korea’s biggest hologram theatre located on the 5th and 6th floors showcasing mostly SM artiste’s concert videos. If you’re looking for some place to eat, you can check out their café, not very friendly on the wallet but definitely Instagram worthy.

Yoojung Sikdang (운정식당)

ARMYS out there, if you want to go back in time to live the way your Idols lived, you definitely have to check out Yoojung Sikdang. This place is a definite must go if you love the boy group BTS. The minute you step in, you can literally see your idols plastered all over the walls, from posters to standees, you name it, they have it. Renowned for their music and dance worldwide, BTS use to dine here during their trainee days and their favorite go to dish would be rice mixed with pork, now called the Bangtan Bibimbap. I personally enjoyed it a lot because it was really delicious and nutritious. Besides that, you also get to bask in the glory of eating at your Idols' favourite restaurant.

Unusual Korea with Oppa

The perfect Korean wave vacation, cannot be one without some Good-looking Oppas. "Oppa" is called Big Brother in Korean but in the coming years is used as a term to describe good looking Korean boys. We have just the tour package for you. Imagine having an Oppa accompany you for 7 days straight, how awesome would that be? The best thing about it is, it doesn’t break your wallet. I had my first experience with an Oppa guide and I must say it is one of a kind. Being a native, they are well versed in the culture and I would say a lot more interesting then travelling on your own. They teach you the language and they also take photos with you. A great chance for you to show off to your friends. Mine even dressed up as Song Joongki from Descendants of the Son. I really enjoyed the experience and he even taught us how to ski. From picking us at the airport right till the end of the tour, he made everything so much easier and I learned so much about the country and its history.
Nami Island
I will definitely join this Korea Oppa tour again because it was really fun and absolutely enjoyable. You too can experience Korea the way I did! I think I've mentioned everything you need to embark on your next trip to Korea. Find yourself an Oppa with us! 안녕!
